Three 2025 Jubilee of Hope pilgrimage sites are established in archdiocese, leading to a plenary indulgence

2025 Jubilee YearThe Church celebrates a jubilee year every quarter of a century. Pope Francis has designated “Pilgrims of Hope” as the theme for the 2025 Jubilee Year, which begins on Dec. 24.

Three Jubilee of Hope pilgrimage sites have been established in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis:

SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral, 1347 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis.

The Shrine of St. Mother Theodore Guérin and the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 1 Sisters of Providence Road, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, St. Mary of the Woods.

Saint Meinrad Archabbey Church, 200 Hill Dr., St. Meinrad.

Pilgrims can receive a plenary indulgence by visiting a Jubilee pilgrimage site and participating in Mass or any other public prayer, a time of adoration, or a rosary while there.

A person seeking a plenary indulgence would also need to complete the ordinary requirements accompanying a plenary indulgence. More information can be found at www.archindy.org/jubilee.
